edo competition C63 Mercedes

Experiencing this exceptional vehicle on the road even surpasses what it promises on paper. The latest generation of the AMG C-Class offers a perfect blend of unrivalled performance and expressive styling. <

Remarkable comfort, sporty manners and long distance capability are not mutually exclusive qualities for this car.

Power in abundance and unbridled V8 goodness are provided by edo competition.
The verdict was unanimous: 457 horsepower and 600 Nm (442 ft-lb) are not enough. A newly developed high-performance exhaust system, exhaust headers, high-flow catalytic converters, new air filters and a recalibrated ECU (including top speed governor removal) boost these numbers to an impressive 555 horsepower and 680 Nm (501 ft-lb). As a matter of principle, all recalibrations done by edo competition are verified on the dynamometer to document the true power output.

The facts about the exceptional edo C 63: 6.3 liter naturally-aspirated V8 engine, 408 kW (555 hp), 680 Nm (501 ft-lb) of torque, 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.3 seconds, top speed: 199 mph – there’s no better way to sum up the capabilities of the edo C 63!

The high-performance exhaust featuring butterfly valves is as aurally impressive as it is advanced, monitoring the exhaust backpressure in real-time. The accompanying controller is programmable and the integrated 70 mm exhaust flaps open at a predetermined level of backpressure. The advantage of this system is that it provides a good amount of torque at low revs without restricting the maximum power at the top end. The high-flow exhaust system is made from 100% stainless steel and the stock-like dual exhaust tips underscore the expressive styling.

To provide superior levels of grip, edo competition offers exclusive wheel/tire combinations. Using a new wheel design the C 63 was equipped with a set of ultra-lightweight 19 in. sport wheels shod in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires. Front: 235/35 19, Rear: 265/30 19

As with all edo competition models, we set no limit to our customers’ imaginations. Special interiors or lavish leather upholstery, individual requests are accommodated and executed with quality.

Murciélago LP750 by edo competition

About one and a half years ago the tuning specialists from Ahlen laid hands on a Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 and turned into the fastest and most powerful Murciélago in the world. Back then, the edo competition team managed to extract 710 horsepower and 700 Nm (516 ft-lb) of torque from the 6.5 liter V12 engine. This car was clocked at over 352 km/h (219 mph) on the Papenburg high speed test track, a mark that remains unmatched to this day.

But this was not the end of the line, as edo competition is proving with the new Murciélago LP750.

A top speed of up to 365 km/h is possible. The engine’s power output was increased to an impressive 750 horsepower and the torque output now stands at 740 Nm (546 ft-lb). The LP750 hits 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.1 seconds, 200 km/h (124 mph) in 9.7 seconds and the magical 300 km/h (186 mph) mark in 24.5 seconds.

The LP640 still provides the basis for this monster. To achieve the enormous boost in power, the cylinder heads were modified and a high flow airbox was installed. The completely revised intake system for this engine features a new hand-made intake manifold as well as modified air ducts. This system helps to increase the intake air mass and velocity, an effect that becomes even more pronounced at higher speeds. High performance exhaust headers, high flow catalytic converters, more aggressive camshafts, bucket tappets, mufflers, exhaust tips and high flow air filters were developed from the ground up and installed on the vehicle. The ECU was reprogrammed to make ideal use of these modifications.

Complementing the engine modifications is an optimized aerodynamics package which improves high-speed stability and adds to the dynamic and elegant appearance of the vehicle. A re-designed, beautifully shaped rear wing, now featuring an adjustable lip spoiler, rounds off the package.

New high-speed wheel and tire set: ultra-lightweight 18/19 alloy wheels with special Michelin 265/35 ZR 18 front and 345/30 ZR 19 rear tires.

A new edo competition high performance exhaust system made from stainless steel, along with a revised exhaust tip, provides a great soundtrack and adds to the rear of the car. A butterfly valve system is optional and a remote control is available on request. The entire exhaust system is plasma-coated – a process that has been used in the aerospace industry for years.

edo competition has also developed a new single plate clutch to fortify the drivetrain in light of the extra power. On request, the LP750 can be converted from all-wheel to rear-wheel drive, resulting in weight savings of 40 kg (88 lbs) and even more agile handling.

All modifications are carried out exclusively at edo competition Motorsport GmbH in Ahlen.

edo Competition Lamborghini Gallardo LP600/4

600 – 340 – 3.5 … No, these are not the dimensions of what Santa’s about to bring. These are the three most prominent figures of the new edo LP600/4. 600 stands for its power output, 340 for its top speed and 3.5 seconds is how long it takes to accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph) from a dead stop.

edo competition has managed to improve performance by increasing power output to 600 horsepower at 7,970 rpm and the torque output to 572 Nm (422 ft-lb) at 6,845 rpm.

Another priority was to upgrade the suspension in order to improve drivability, driving dynamics and precision. edo competition achieved this by employing a newly developed sport suspension system, which is adjustable in compression and rebound damping. This technology allows for custom suspension setups that are ideally matched to a wide range of needs. The low friction shock absorbers and new spring rates were tested extensively on race tracks and high speed ovals, as well as on the road, because handling is not an area for compromise. The result has to be experienced to be believed...

Rounding off the sporty concept are 19 in. three-piece racing wheels with artificially-aged cast center-sections, hand-polished outer rims and 39 stainless steel screws. For the front axle the customer can specify stock tire dimensions or 235/35 ZR 19, while the rear wheels are shod with 305/30 ZR 19 Dunlop Sport Maxx rubber. With this solution edo competition enables its customers to reuse the factory tires on their new wheels.

Another, ever-intriguing topic at edo competition: „The voice“.
The new stainless steel high-performance exhaust system with butterfly valves is an attractive proposition. Not only is the sound level adjustable via remote, the exhaust also frees up 15 horsepower and lets the driver enjoy a whole new aural experience. As a welcome side effect, the edo exhaust system weighs 12 kg (26 lb) less than the original piece.

As a result of years of experience with high speed tests, edo competition has reinforced the front end of the edo LP600/4 with a new front spoiler lip, making 340 km/h (211 mph) runs into a relaxing affair.

As promised, lots of extra spice …
