in.pro.´s new LED tail lights for the new Golf

It is the details that makes the difference and things desirable. With new LED tail lights, in.pro. gives the Golf VI a completely individual character.

The press picture shows the original rear lights with conventional bulbs on the right, and the version from in.pro. with modern LED technology on the left. The difference is striking: with the same coloured casing (red/white) the upgraded version seems to have a greater presence, be classier and in short more tempting. The highlight is the trapezoid-shaped light diode pattern, it gives the Golf VI the decisive dash of dynamism. Not cool enough? In this case the brand new black version of the rear lights from in.pro. is the right option.

But the products impress not just stylistically in flow with the body lines: contrary to conventional bulbs the diodes react much quicker, which is particularly important when braking. After all, no-one likes an unwanted visit in the rear of their car. Golf drivers do not just value a stylistic appearance, but also safety and practicality. Here in.pro. offers the particularly long durability of LEDs, which are built to last as long as the car – and in addition they are also more economical than conventional lights. And in spite of their hot appearance, from a technical point of view they still remain cool.

Cobra Launch New VW Scirocco Suspension Upgrades

Leading Dutch suspension manufacturer Cobra has launched a new range of springs to improve VW’s couth coupe, the new Scirocco.

Since the re-introduction of this iconic model, VW have managed to re-invent themselves once again as purveyors of involving and entertaining Sports Coupes. The Cobra kit builds on the virtues of the already excellent chassis to create a truly brilliant all-rounder that enjoys vastly improved handling, without suffering from a harsh ride.

Fitments are available to cover all engine variants, including the new 1.4 TFSi and the diesel variants. Drops differ, depending on the model, but range between 25mm for the 1.4 petrol, down to 20mm for the 2.0 TFSi version.

Handling is dramatically improved thanks to the lower centre of gravity, and thanks to a careful choice of spring rate, ride quality is hardly affected. In addition, the Cobra springs are pre-fatigued and heat treated, before being powder-coated to protect them against the elements. This attention to detail is backed by Cobra’s class leading 5 year warranty and full TUV approval.

VW Golf R32 Bi-turbo by MTE

MTE has unveiled an awesome modified Volkswagen Golf IV R32 wrapped in a military-theme.

Under the hood, the German tuner specializing in turbo conversions installed turbos plus intercooler along with larger injectors, modified cylinder head, forged pistons, high performance camshafts, and an optimized ECU. The stock R32's 3.2-liter V6 makes 241bhp and 320Nm / 236 lb-ft, but thanks to a series of modifications the twin-turbo 3.2-liter V6 pushing 2.2 bar of boost with a compression ratio of 7.8:1 produces 790 hp (589 kW / 801 PS) and 1200 Nm (885 lb-ft) of torque. This allows the car to run the quarter mile in 10.7 seconds at 216 km/h (134 mph).

To cope with the abundance of power, MTE added a Sachs two-disc sintered clutch in addition to a KW Coilover 'Club Sport' suspension, semi-slick tires, and a high-performance braking system (with 360mm discs and six-piston Brembo calipers).

Golf VI GTI by JE DESIGN

Up to now, whoever wanted to get behind the wheel of a 270-hp VW Golf had to invest more than 36,000 Euro in a Golf R . But now JE DESIGN provides the same performance for the Golf GTI. What's more, the aerodynamics package and the light alloy wheels take care of the individual look, and the new rear silencer provides the sporty sound.

JE DESIGN boosts the Golf VI GTI's performance by more than a quarter. Instead of 210 hp (155 kW), the 2.0-litre turbo motor now produces a full 270 hp (199 kW). The maximum torque rockets from 280 to 370 Newton metres, and now the Wolfsburg car reaches a top speed of 257 kph, up from its previous 240 kph. From a standing start the JE DESIGN Golf saves half a second and makes it to the 100-kph mark in only 6.4 seconds.

JE DESIGN offers optimisation of the engine control system in their own workshop in Leingarten, Germany or collects the dismantled engine control unit by courier and returns it on the following day. The price of 1549 Euro including VAT even includes a one-year warrantee on the motor, turbo-charger, gearbox and drivetrain. For vehicles less than two years old and which have driven fewer than 100,000 kilometres, an extension for a further year can be arranged for only 199 Euro.

The GTI by JE DESIGN with the self-confident aerodynamics package demonstrates the new performance capability. The new front spoiler with the central, carbon-look spoiler sword is available for as little as 349 Euro. The side skirts for 299 Euro also underline the sporty look and the rear skirt insert in carbon-look for only 249 Euro. On the left and right sides, the trapezoid, stainless steel sports endpipes provide the relevant resonance (899 Euro).

Thanks to the lowering springs for 159 Euro, the Golf sits 35 millimetre closer to the tarmac. Consequently the 8x19-inch, matt black, light alloy wheels Multispoke with the matt silver edge trim look particularly sporty. With size 225/35 high-performance tyres, JE DESIGN offers the complete wheel set for a mere 2930 Euro.

As is normal with JE DESIGN, all components come with a TÜV Certificate so that the modifications can be registered in the vehicle's documents without further ado.

Corrado K-Jet Induction Kit by Pipercross

VW Corrados fitted with the K-Jet management system often struggle to find ways of improving the induction set-up much beyond upping the panel filter to a superior part. Thankfully, induction expert Pipercross has created a bespoke induction set-up that fixes directly underneath the bulky K-Jet unit, but more than doubles the surface area available for filtration.

In addition to the vastly improved surface area, carefully selected multilayered foam within the unit offers 30% more air-flow than even the most efficient of OEM filters. In addition to providing a far better rate of flow, the ingenious multi-layer design also filters down to a far finer rate, protecting the engine against damage. The kits come complete with a can of cleaning spray to keep the filter in tip-top condition and thanks to a lifetime warranty, it makes huge financial sense, especially when you factor in the reasonable £99.99 price tag. Both 8 and 16 valve versions are catered for and best of all, each kit is lovingly hand-crafted in Pipercross’ UK factory.

As a cost-effective alternative to throttle bodies or carbs, The Pipercross K-Jet kit provides a noticeable induction ‘roar’ and performance increase for a fraction of the price, So if you’re running a Corrado, join the ‘Jet-Set’ and fit a Pipercross! Even if you’re not, with over 3,000 models covered in the range, there’s a good chance they have one to enhance and protect your engine.

New bodykit for the VW Scirocco by RDX RACEDESIGN

RDX RACEDESIGN makes the sports car for everyman even livelier. The complete bodykit improves the dynamic look of the Volkswagen Scirocco (type 13) and converts the decorous VW into a self-confident individualist with a liking for bends.

Straight away the forbidding face of the transformed Scirocco reveals that this is no mere mass-produced car out for a Sunday run. The new headlight covers by RDX RACEDESIGN make the Wolfsburg car look resolutely forwards. The covers are fixed to the headlights with the special glue included and do not need to be inspected by the Technical Control Board TÜV. The set is supplied by RDX RACEDESIGN for only 49 Euro including VAT.

It is the RDX front spoiler which is chiefly responsible for the bodykit's dynamic optical effect. It enhances not only the sporty appearance, but in fact also improves the coupe’s aerodynamics. For 169 Euro a TÜV component certificate is included in delivery so that the spoiler can be registered in the vehicle's documents without further ado.

The side skirts give the impression that the bodywork has been widened, because visually the Scirocco sits lower and squatter on the road. The curved contours and the rear grille inserts underline the wedge look and therefore contribute to the dynamic transformation. The skirt kit which requires no technical registration is available from RDX RACEDESIGN at the low price of 129 Euro.

The diffuser hinted at in the rear bumper extension completes the aerodynamics package. The fine-meshed grating surrounds the exhausts and takes care of the sporty rear view. The rear bumper extension likewise requires no technical registration and is for sale at 199 Euro.

The roof spoiler which elongates the roof line far to the rear leaves no room for doubt about the new sporty character of the RDX Scirocco. All this combines to turn the reserved Volkswagen into a self-confident individualist. The roof spoiler is available from RDX RACEDESIGN for 189 Euro. The corresponding TÜV component certificate is of course included in the package.

All components of the new bodykit fit all VW Scirocco models. RDX RACEDESIGN manufactures each part in OEM quality exclusively from PU-ABS thermoplastic. This allows the manufacturer to ensure not only low weight, but also to benefit from the stability and the elasticity of the material. Proof of the high quality, both of the material and the manufacturing, is the two-year warranty which RDX RACEDESIGN gives on all products. Furthermore any buyer is entitled to return his purchase within 14 days without further explanation.

Milltek performance exhaust for the Golf MKVI GTi

Milltek has developed the ultimate performance exhaust system for the new VW Golf GTi Mk6 which not only offers scintillating power potential but invigorates the senses with its dynamic and red-blooded soundtrack.

To create this system, Milltek technicians have opted to use full-bore 76mm / 3-inch pipework and a twin compact rear silencer for effortless gas flow. However, Milltek understand that most owners will want to use their cars every day, and don't want a constant and intrusive booming from their exhaust. As a result, after painstaking road testing, they found that a volume-specific centre silencer, also known as a resonator, was needed to keep unwanted noise when cruising under control.

The photo shows the full turbo-back exhaust system options for the VW Golf Mk6 GTi. You can see the difference between resonated (quieter) and non-resonated (louder) as well as the 90mm and 100mm Jet tailpipe options. The motorsport large-bore downpipe with integrated hi-flow sports catalyst and connecting pipe (the two parts on the left of each system) must be fitted in conjunction with an ECU remap. The cat-back system can be fitted regardless of whether the car is in standard tune or if it has been remapped

Milltek Sport exhausts have a genuine performance edge - noticable power gains, sounds that are truely awesome, styled looks that are aggressive but discrete and a feeling of true exhilaration.

• Transforms performance and driveability
• Sharper throttle response
• Substantial weight saving over original equipment systems
• Precision, quality controlled manufacture to ISO 9001 standards
• Highest quality aircraft-grade stainless steel
• Low pressure systems for maximum performance - with no loss of low end torque
• Responsibly developed and engineered
• Designed and manufactured in the UK

Milltek Sport offer an ever expanding comprehensive selection of Performance exhausts which build on the successes of key marques like Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Mini and BMW. This has placed Milltek Sport at the forefront of tuning companies and owners ‘must have’ list. Milltek Sport have appointed key distributors and are currently exporting to over 70 countries around the world.

KW Suspension upgrades VW Golf R

A simple “R” denotes the sporty flagship product at Volkswagen. To give the new Golf VI R the optimum suspension that suits every individual driver, the world’s leading coilover expert KW offers perfect solutions that have been optimised on the in-house drive dynamic test rig.

The KW coilovers Variant 1 with the pre-set dampening characteristic is coordinated to suit the weight of the vehicle, the axial loads and the overall chassis geometry. KW is offering the coilover with the TÜV-tested lower suspension setting range of 5 to 35 millimetres in the basic version for just 849 Euro including value-added tax, or for 949 Euro in the stainless steel version “inox-line”.

The KW coilovers Variant 2 also offer the same advantages, but here the rebound can be adjusted individually. This allows the ambitious driver to adjust the suspension even more precisely to suit the individual preferences. The coilover Variant 2 basic is available for just 1099 Euro. The stainless steel version “inox-line” is available for just 1249 Euro.

The maximum individual adjustments are possible with the KW coilovers Variant 3. Besides the TÜV-tested lower suspension setting, both the rebound as well as the compression stage can be adjusted individually and independent of each other. KW makes this suspension exclusively for the demanding driver using the “inox-line” stainless steel technology, and is offering it for 1549 Euro SRP.

For those drivers who want to drive their Golf VI R on racing tracks as well, KW has developed the KW clubsport coilover. This can be adjusted optimally to suit the weight of the vehicle, the tyre characteristics, different track conditions and the conditions under which it is used. KW is offering the complete solution for the race track including the aluminium top mounts with uniball bearings that are adjustable and fit for race tracks for just 1999 Euro.

KW delivers all coilovers as ready to install, complete solutions with all the necessary installation and add-on parts including the pre-mounted threaded suspension struts, adjustment spring cups, impact protection and dust protection systems. Of course, a detailed manual with instructions for installation and the corresponding Certificate by the Technical Control Board (TÜV) are part of the scope of delivery.

Scorpion Exhaust releases new system for VW Scirocco 1.4 and 2.0 TSi

Exhaust maestro Scorpion has released its latest system onto the market; The new VW Scirocco TSI. The Derbyshire-based firm had already released a version for the TDI model last year, so the latest fitment should appeal to the purist petrolhead, covering both the 1.4 and 2.0 versions.

After a considerable amount of road and dyno testing, the new system is available as a direct bolt-on replacement to the OEM part. Bolting directly to the rear of the factory catalyst pipe, the 70mm system is available in two fitments. Either a centre and rear box for those that want maximum extraction with minimum intrusion, or for those that prefer a sportier tone, a Sports bypass pipe is available, leaving just the rear box to handle silencing duties. One of the biggest advantages over competitor's designs is that Scorpion's engineers have invested considerable time in studying the flatter profile of the factory rear box when designing theirs. Despite no loss in flow, the flatter Scorpion rear box tucks up into the rear underbody far more neatly than any other aftermarket system, improving looks, ground clearance and the all-important under car air-flow characteristics. This is an element often overlooked by aftermarket manufacturers, but it's careful consideration is hardly surprising when you consider the wealth of OEM experience that Scorpion has to draw from.

Whilst the fit and finish are certainly as the factory intended, power and throttle response gains are most definitely not! - with consistent improvements of between 5 and 10% being recorded during Scorpion's extensive testing regime. Also finalised, but still undergoing full Global approval, is the firm’s high-flowing sports cat that will bring significant performance gains whilst retaining full legality in all markets. Expect to see this later in the year.

Each system is precision-fabricated at Scorpion’s UK factory from aerospace quality T304 Stainless Steel and carries a lifetime guarantee. The sound is far more sonorous than the standard item, with a nice growl when pressing on, but keeping a subtle note for comfortable cruising.

Usefully, this box will fit all 1.4 and 2.0 TSI Scirocco models, providing more grunt, more growl - and more grins. Priced at just £418.95 for the single box system and £523.95 for the twin box set up, it’s the first essential modification for any hot ‘Rocco.

Cargraphic presents AUDI A4 and VW Golf

The German company Cargraphic presented its product range at one of the most important exhibitions of the year for Car customisers, the Tuning World Bodensee. Primarily known for their dream cars, the tuners presented themselves particularly down-to-earth in Friedrichshafen: On their perfectly arranged stand, two everyday heroes were on display beside the Aston Martin V8 Vantage - an AUDI A4 and a VW Golf.

Thanks to its newly designed high-grade steel exhaust system, the V8 Vantage generated 362 kW / 466 PS and symbolises, in combination with its tight-fitting aerodynamics-package and three-part type GT-R alloy rims, the high requirements and exclusiveness of the Cargraphic refinement. But even cars for all and sundry allow purposeful upgrades, as with the A4, which was made clear by this well-established enterprise of the tuning scene: the engineers achieved from the basic engine with its 88 kW / 120 HP a respectable 151 kW / 205 HP. And the Golf V 1.4 TSI also generated a good 127 kW / 173 HP. A special performance software was responsible for that, which was developed together with Kubatech. An eyecatcher on both vehicles is the one-piece rim IS-ONE which, like all Cargraphic wheels, comes out of their own production and offers the "made in Germany" quality seal.

Tuning World Bodensee proved once again that Cargraphic knows how to play the whole range of vehicle refinement – and in the process ensures that the focus stays on the respectability and quality of their products. Cooperation partner FOLIATEC®.com had another tuned "dream" vehicle displayed on their stand. The Cargraphic 997 DFI Cabrio with its sensational skull skin street style foil.

Öhlins coilovers for VW Golf V

Swedish suspension legend, Öhlins, is a huge name in the world of motorcycling and it is now bringing more of its suspension expertise to the four-wheeled world with these, its new Road&Track range of coilovers.

A more than 30 year long tradition of high-end racing commitments and state-of-the-art solutions within advanced suspension technology is now available for street cars all over the world. The focus has been clear from the very beginning – superior road handling without sacrificing comfort in your day-to-day transports. The time of compromises are over!

Hidden away inside the distinctive gold and silver machined billet alloy and carbon steel bodies is some serious suspension technology, the highlight of which is the unique dual-flow valve (DVF) which replaces the parallel compression valve (PCV) which is normally found in other units.

The DVF unit is unique in that it gives the same characteristics on rebound as it does on compression, thanks to the damper fluid having a consistent path of flow in both directions.

Because the DVF design opens more quickly, the ride comfort is more akin to an OEM setup, and with graduated front camber adjustments and factory- matched combined damping and rebound rates on one positive detent adjuster, the units offer unparalleled setup options.

Height adjustment is achieved by winding the lower mounting face up or down, rather than the spring platform itself, which leaves the free length of the spring untouched, meaning that the suspension is hardly compressed at all despite the lowered ride height.

The kit is only available for the Mk5 VW Golf at present although more Volkswagen fitments will be announced later in the year.

NOTE! The image below is an example, some parts may differ on the actual shock absorber.
